A Few Characters from Fantasy World

As I polish up the Mythos Machine I'm finding it easier and more fun to build my worlds with. Here's a few character cards that I'm creating for the Fantasy Proto-World, and first Worlds Marketplace offering ...

I have to say I'm really delighted with how well this is working at this point. Yes, there's a lot more polishing that needs to get done before it's truly Public Ready in terms of UX and UI, but still ... it's coming along nicely. It is, I should say, completely functional as is, but ... as I work with it on my own Worlds, I can see there is more work to do to make some functions easier for people to use in the application.

For my next trick I am adding a revision for Mystic Powers so that the selections will be handled exactly the same way as Skills. You have a Mystic Powers List, and you add Powers to various Books you create, and then assign those Books to specific Classes (of magic user and/or cleric classes, to be specific). Then when the Player goes to select Mystic Powers for their Character, the Mystic Books you've assigned are available to them according to the Class they selected.

For example, Gray Wizards get two books to choose spells from "Book of Fog", which has weather spells, and "Book of the Dead" which has necromancy Spells. The entire system is designed to allow GMs to configure magic (and skills) however they want that makes sense for their Worlds. So far so good. I'm about 3/4 of the way done with this update, and hope to have it finished by the end of the Weekend.

And so... progress, and lots of it, is being made. If the project seems like it is coming along slowly, though... forgive me. I'm just a little one-man band here, and I have a full time career working in a Children's Hospital (as a Programmer / Analyst) and so ... I'm a slow poke. My apologies on that, really. Still though, it is coming along and I'm happy with the progress.
