The Crows Out By Bellowick Farm
One haunted morning not long ago there was a great murder of crows that swarmed all above the woods over by the Bellowick's farmstead, just north of Hamfest village. Poor old Mrs Bellowick fell beside the barn and the horses got out and rampaged into the forest far away, and the geese all flew up in a flock and then suddenly changed their minds and came crashing back to earth in a long ribbonous cascade. But the crows continued their vigil in the gray sky, cawing. Ever cawing.
