My nickname for my project is VB Wyrde. Please don't ask why. If you can guess that's good enough.
I'm a right+left brain person.
I've been working on an RPG project since 1978. Don't rush me. I'm a slow poke.
I spent seven years during the 1980's on the road hitchhiking around America in protest against what I felt is a corrupt world, generally speaking. My mom was pretty unhappy about that.
I visit my mom every Sunday.
I enjoy Kung Fu movies. I also enjoy Kung Fu (traditional Chinese Internal Martial Arts, to be more specific).
I have had a steady day job (same company since 1997) doing computer programming ... until Dec 2013 when I was laid off due to circumstances having nothing to do with whether or not I did a good job there. I believe I did a good job there and they got their money's worth, but it was also like working in Dilbertopia, and I don't regret that I'm stationed at home now. I am working on my own business venture, which is to take Elthos RPG to market and let her do her magic. Please wish me luck.
I believe in the Tao of Programming.
I have a wonderful girl who is my best friend, and I'm very happy and lucky.
While life is good, I wish the world was doing better. But my RPG World is doing very nicely, so there is balance there somehow.
My mom says I'm a great guy. Go figure.
The Tao gave birth to machine language. Machine language gave birth to the assembler. The assembler gave birth to the compiler. Now there are ten thousand languages. Each language has its purpose, however humble. Each language expresses the Yin and Yang of software. Each language has its place within the Tao. But do not program in Visual Basic 6 if you can avoid it. |
